Musical Literacy
The term literacy, is its most basic definition, implies the ability to read and write in a particular language. Literacy can also be extended to include the concept of having aquired knowledge in a given subject area. Music literacy refers to the abilities to read and write musical ideas, use appropriate musical terminology and understand the elements of music.

The following lessons are to be completed in class and at home in preparation for tests to be submitted for your musician profile by the assigned dates:

To submit results for theory tests click on wheel in top right corner. Select "Show Progress Report" and print.
To submit results for rhythm tests e-mail your results to [email protected]
For this term use both A and B styles with a quarter note and eighth note rhythm (The first two options)
